The opening sequence of The Simpsons’ Treehouse of Horror XXXVII replaces its familiar two-dimensional animation style with handmade puppets and miniature sets. As reported by Bigumigu, the sequence is staged as a stop-motion parody of the Henry Selick-directed film The Nightmare Before Christmas.
